A Prayer

Be my God. Pour Yourself into my life. Open my heart to Your Presence and touch me, fill me, change me. Help me to reject the false evidence that only betrays and hides You and Your love. Sustain my faith or I am lost as to my purpose and place in this cosmos. Mend me with this Life that I may see its depth and privilege. As you rested from drawing the heavens, you made me Your child. What power that drew oceans from the rivers and rains casts me upon Your love. You called me for Holy Communion with You before the foundations were stretched forth. Bring to me the double life without the wavering doubts of double mindedness. Make the Life of the Gospel the ultimate reality of my world. Amen.
